Horn for B3030?

In the middle of the headlight/turn signal switch there is what appears to be a horn button. Perhaps on euro models a horn is standard equipment. There must be a way to find out if there is already a factory horn available that could be activated from that button.

I dunno about the euro models but it sounds like the B3030 switch is similar to the one on my B2910 - it looks like there is a button right in the middle of it ...... or so I thought. I wanted to add a horn to the B2910 so I took the switch apart - what appears to be a button really isn't - there isn't any switching mechanisim and no connections to wire one into the switch.

The B3030 is the top of the B line, it should have a horn, a comfortable seat and a full needle gauge package. An interior light in my $4000. factory cab wold also be nice. Don't get me wrong here, i love my B3030 HSDC, this machine doe's everything i ask & then some, it's just seems to me that the top of the line shoud have these extras. You 3030 owners know this is not a cheap machine.

AND..a PROPER "alternator"...instead of that "flash light battery charger" that comes STD...

I know what you mean 'Toolguy'. I got on their web site and sent a message about an eventual horn kit, and if there was any available. Of course there isn't. Also, there is no adapability in the wiring harness. I got a reply from Kubota, and the gentleman said it would be surfaced at their next staff meeting for possible upgrades.........so I guess we'll see. Also the latest B26 has the same identical light switch cluster - but with a bright red horn button where our current dead black button is. And there is no application to have it installed on the B3030. So I guess for the time being we are SOL.

But they make available a new comfortable seat for $49.00. They sent me a card, and yah have to call your dealer and tell them you want the seat.......I just got mine and there is a pretty big difference. The holes are already there to install the arm rests. I used the original seat on my 26 year old B6100. It was a good deal, because regularly I here they are over $150.00.

Strange... I've got a B3030 and there's a nice loud horn with a button in the middle of the lightswitch. Perhaps the UK spec is different to what you get in the US? I should hope so... a B3030 costs *lots* more in the UK than in the US so I should hope I got more than just a horn for the extra $$$!

Kind of nice if they did bring it up. It's not very often you hear of Joe Average (no offense) making a suggestion and actually finding out they listened to it. I've made a few suggestions to every full size truck maker to add an electronic brake control in the dash, think Ford finally did but I had been saying it for 20 years.

I've installed an AH-OOOGA horn in my B26, Cub Cadet 1046 my Rhino 660, and my 07 Chevy extended cab 1500 pick'em up truck. All my neighbors know who is going buy or calling for something cold to drink.

Here is what I put on my tractor. Easy to install and very loud.

Just pick up a 12 volt horn at the auto wreckers for a few bucks and wire it in to a button to activate it. I done this on a small lawn tractor I had years ago and it worked fine.

Also I failed to mention about the No Horn for the B3030 when we were discussing the Cruise Control. I received a response from Kubota this evening, and they said they will pass the comment(s) along for possible consideration of a horn. If it flys, they will notify all dealers like they did with the new seat you can purchase for $49.00. I did get one, and it is definitely alot more comfortable. I took the original seat that the B3030 came with and installed it on my 26 year old B6100 which was pretty shot.

So maybe if everyone sends a comment to Kubota at there web site, that might just push them to develope a horn kit after the fact. As I said before, as I'm sure you all are aware, the B26 has the switch cluster with the button in the center as a functional button for the horn.
