It's always refreshing to hear your improved solutions but they often go right over the heads of us less educated and world traveled unless you take time fill in details. Approximately how much organic matter does a skid of 40% granulated Urea add to soil? Do you have an analysis of P-K and micro-nutrients supplied by Urea?
Granulated Urea is Nitrogen or some people refer to it as soda and is used mostly as a top dressing. You can get Urea up to 46-0-0 Analysis. Timothy McVeigh used 4800 pounds of 33 percent in Oklahoma City.

You can also purchase liquid Urea and spray it to apply. Liquid Urea is one of the things you see Farmers driving around in corn and soy bean fields spraying in one of those high off the ground spraying Rigs.

That is 28% liquid and it's corrosive on spraying equipment too. Not so much on beans as they are a legume. Mostly on corn.

I believe he used common fertilizer like triple 12. Never seen 33% around here. It's either 28% liquid or 46 granulated (prills), which are clay coated and what I use.

Today, if it says N, it's expensive. Last year I paid 20 bucks a 50 pound sack, this year I'm paying 50 bucks a sack.

No way you could get me into one of those sprays rigs.

Fairly certain it was 33%. The original bill as proposed regulating the sale of 33% nitrogen fertilizer or greater is an indicator nitrogen with an analysis of at least 33% percent was used.

Also the Anarchist Cook Book where McVeigh got the recipe for the mixture rate of fuel oil to nitrogen specified 33% or greater Nitrogen.

Know events linked to the Anarchist Cook Book.

  • 1976: Police linked the bombing of Grand Central Terminal and hijacking of a TWA flight to Croatian radicals who used instructions from The Anarchist Cookbook.[3]
  • 1981: The Anarchist Cookbook was linked to Puerto Rican rebels who bombed an FBI headquarters using the book's directions. Thomas Spinks also referred to the text during the bombings of 10 abortion clinics in the United States.[3]
  • 1995: The perpetrators of the Oklahoma City bombing were alleged to have used directions from the book.[24]
  • 1999: Police found The Anarchist Cookbook in the possession of the Columbine High School shooters Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, in Littleton, Colorado; it may have inspired them.[24]
  • 2002: The Canadian government permitted the book to be imported from the United States. Canada Customs and Revenue Agency concluded the book does not violate either hate or obscenity laws, therefore the previous ban on the text was resolved.[25]
  • 2007: A 17-year-old was arrested in the United Kingdom and faced charges under anti-terrorism law in the UK for possession of The Anarchists' Cookbook.[26] He was cleared of all charges in October 2008, after arguing that he was a prankster who just wanted to research fireworks and smoke bombs.[27]
  • 2010: In County Durham, UK, Ian Davison and his son were imprisoned under anti-terrorism laws for the manufacturing of ricin. Their possession of The Anarchist Cookbook, along with its availability, was noted by the authorities.[28] This led to a London judge and police campaigning to have the book banned in the UK.[3]
  • 2012: The Anarchist Cookbook was found to have been in the possession of James Holmes, the perpetrator of the Aurora theater shooting in Colorado, USA.[29]
  • 2013: Renewed calls were made in the United States to ban the book, citing links to a school shooting in Arapahoe, Colorado, and the Santa Monica, California, shootings by Karl Pierson.[15][29]
  • 2015: The London public-transport bombers were linked to the book.[3]
  • 2015: U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein pushed to have the book removed from online databases.[8]
  • 2016: The book was refused classification by the Office of Film and Literature Classification upon release, thus making the book banned in Australia. It was classified RC again on 31 October 2016.[30][31]
  • 2017: A 27-year-old was prosecuted in the UK solely for the possession of the book. He was found not guilty.[32]
  • 2020: A 23-year-old mathematics graduate of the University of Cambridge was convicted of 'collecting information useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism' based on his possession of the book.[33][34]
  • 2021: Ben John, a 21-year-old student, was found guilty of possessing a copy of the book on a computer hard drive, where he was given a suspended sentence and told by a UK judge to 'read classical literature,' such as Pride and Prejudice; only for the Court of Appeal to rule that order unlawful, sentencing the man to three years: two years in custody, one year on licence.[35]

When I was much younger, I hauled dynamite for an outfit south of Cleveland, dynamite and fertilizer. Delivered to coal mines in West Virginia and Pa. They would mix the fertilizer with diesel fuel and put it in what looked like skinny French bread plastic bags and they inserted a partial stick of dynamite into the end with a blasting cap. That went into the drill hole. They were called (and I presume still are called) Wet Hole Bags.

The fertilizer and diesel mix extended the bang.

Those were the days. Kind of surprised I'm still here actually.

Why not? Cabs are enclosed and have filtration so none of it gets in and heck of a lot better than knifing in Anhydrous Ammonia which will kill you right now if you breathe the vapor.

The height makes them top heavy. I have had tractors on two wheels before and tractors have a much lower center of gravity. Those things are so tall you can walk underneath them.

And speaking about farm equipment and height, The new combines are so tall operators are hitting phone and cable lines with the cabs on them because they are setting so high.
