Whoa. You guys are really allowing your livestock to rub chemicals, and DIESEL FUEL??!? all over themselves to prevent insect bites?!?
Sorry, I am no livestock farmer, but this seems crazy. You are poisoning them (and yourselves). I guess when the animals are truly going insane because of the bugs, they need some relief, toxic as it may be.

it's quite common to have socks and booms covered in powder or a pesticide for parasite control...
