hose failure cleanup

I've tried to search for a previous post but apparently the android TBN app doesn't do that very well.

As the description says I had a hose failure that sent hydraulic fluid everywhere on my tractor. What is the opinion of the awesome TBN brain trust on how best to get this mess cleaned up?

Particulars NH TC33D Cooler line hose. Hydraulic fluid all over under the hood. The area under and to the rear of the radiator is really nasty. Fan pretty much slung the stuff onto pretty much everything.

They are sure proud of those hoses. 2 of them came to $50 exactly.

I would use one pint of Dawn dish detergent to a gal of water and spray it on and let sit for a while, and then rinse.

Repeat if you have to.

Also, Pressure washer using a mix of Dawn dish detergent.

You might also get a jug of the Simple Green Pro degreaser. This stuff works great and is bio-degradeable. I buy it at Home Depot and it is not expensive.

Put it in a hand pump sprayer and soak the affected areas. Let it sit for a while then wash it down with water. If you do use a pressure washer be careful.

Thanks for the replies. I was leaning towards the car wash but have since reconsidered. Probably get it clean but more than likely open a #10 can of worms. This is the second hose failure this winter. Will be replacing the remaining hoses on the tractor in the next week or so. Only the radiator hoses and one steering hose left. I guess 11 years isn't too bad for service life. Just glad it didn't happen while clearing snow or some other chore.
