i would much rather schedule fluid changes on a 1:1 hr meter basis rather that engine speed hrs that almost always would end up being more hrs on engine than recorded. that was my only point in this discussion![]()
But 2000 hrs of idling is vastly different than 2000hrs of hard work. ANd with a 1:1 meter, how do you know?
2000hrs of idling is more like 500hrs of hard wear. I would want the hour meter to account for that and record 2000hrs if idling at only 500hrs.
That makes it easy to tell the difference between 2000hrs of hard wear, and 2000hrs (500 on the meter) of idling.
