The toothbar seems to stick in the Ohio clay. I find I can get virtually no traction and therfore I always end up pulling the bucket back out with nothing on it. I tried pulling a couple of fence posts up and it and I had to remove it to do that too. I tried using it to dig some rocks out and found that each time I wanted to back drag I had to remove it to get a smooth level grade.
I just think it is more hassle to install and remove each time I need it than it's worth. I've decided to keep it rather than try to sell it thinking there must be some project I will need it for. I think I got caught up in the toothbar hype from reading the posts here. I don't have the same uses that many on the forum do such as moving brush. I should have thought it through before buying.

Thanks for posting that RV... I too have gone off and on contemplating getting a toothbar. I'm now convinced that I don't need one. Enjoy your machine...

92 hours in 3 months counting tomorrow. Moved well over 300 tons of material (maybe 400) with the fel, only about 3hrs mowing. Works like a champ, wish the hyd was stronger & quicker, glad I got the ballast box. Very good mowing machine, turning radius good for going around trees.

took delivery of my 2305 June 9th and now have approximately 30 hours on it (no mowing - got a LT180 for that. All FEL and BB work until winter then on goes the 54" front blade). Over the last week I have been working it very hard - a friend brought over an excavator to start removing rock (goodness there is a lot of rock in New England - I am a recent transplant from Washington State) - he digs them out and handles the bigger ones, I take all the little guys (under 800-900 lbs). Back grad with my BB with teeth extended. These littel tractors are quite amazing at times... Just love mine. Have exprienced one problem with the FEL not wanting to lower (did all other functions) but it lasted about two minutes and started working again.
