I use those for stranded wire lights. The stranded wire that comes pre soldered you can usually get on the regular ones but for bare stranded those are a big help.

Never used wago brand. How tight does the lever lock wire...ie can it pop open in a Jamed up box

Well, no good licenced electrician I know uses the push in.
I also prefer to use the screw method and maretts for all my connections.

One thing I recommend is to occasionally re tighten all the screws in your main breaker box, especially the main entry fuse and knife switch ones as I have observed them loosen over time.

What method are they using to connect lights that come with small stranded wires to the larger solid wires? They’d probably much have to be soldered otherwise and that takes forever.

They are tight, and the lever is quit hard to open so it doesn't just realease, Wago is used all over here, quick and safe and does not have the problems screw terminals have.
