Another update. Today I'm feeling a lot better, but I'm going to take the day off just to be sure. My fear is that if I push myself too quickly, I'll be off another week instead of just a few days.
My wife's son works at one of the local hospitals and he just tested positive. He is 28 years old. He is required to wear a mask at all times, but from what we understand, most people are getting Covid from taking off their masks improperly and contaminating themselves with their hands.
My dad is 84 and he has had cancer twice. He wears a mask when he leaves the house and never takes it off until he gets home. The only place my parents go is to get groceries, or to doctors appointments. Yesterday he said that he was lightheaded, exhausted and that he couldn't smell anything. He will get tested in a couple of days.
My wife is feeling great. She has had a total recovery. She had colon cancer 3 years ago, which triggered, or woke up Lupus. She never knew she has Lupus before then, but her doctors think it was so mild that nobody ever found it until the Chemo and Radiation treatments weakened her so much that the Lupus was able to become an issue. Her treatment for Lupus is Hydroxychloroquine, and she feels it is a big reason she didn't get as sick as me, and that she has recovered so quickly compared to me. She still doesn't have all of there sense of smell back, but it's almost there. Otherwise, she is symptom free of Covid and full of energy!!
We are still undecided if we are going to take the vaccine. Some days she says yes, then more data comes out and she says no. The other day, she was back to being in favor of it, but that doesn't mean we will. With her position at the University, we both get to go to the front of the line if we decide to get it.
