I lost my brother to Covid Friday, March 19, 2021. He was 64 y.o., just 4 months from retirement.

My wife and I got our first Pfizer shots yesterday. We both have a little muscle soreness at the injection site, but no big deal. I'm glad to get the vaccine, I travel weekly and might have a gig in Peru in May. As much as I suspect I've already contracted Covid, the vaccine gives me an added level of defense.

I got my 2nd Pfizer shot yesterday. No side effects other than a sore arm at the shot location.

Mom received second Moderna yesterday... zero reaction to first.

It has been a strange 36 hours.

She was sharper then in a long time and energetic.

Wanted to go to where she trained for her long distance runs and take the 9 mile loop trail... today she is 87. Had not remembered the training area for several years

Along the trail she seemed to know where all the branch trails led and greeted everyone along the way.

It was as if she regained years in mental ability... we did 4.1 miles.

About midnight started feeling bad. Almost like a zombi by morning as if she aged 10 years. Not able to speak on the phone to brothers and sisters.

I stayed home to be with her... By 6 pm she was doing better.

Just makes me wonder what caused her mental ability to peek 6 hours after the dose and it was not just me as neighbors even commented.

Hey Eddie, hope you and your wife have fully recovered from covid. I always appreciate your opinions, any update on you and your wifes thoughts on getting the shots, or not ? My wife and I are getting close to the age group which will be elgible in the next couple of months, and I am still kinda wondering whether I should , or shouldn,t get it. We are both healthy, and in our early seventies.

...my experience......1st Pfizer shot had no reaction....2nd Pfizer shot gave me a fever of 100.1 for about eight hours....that's it.

My lady friend had no reaction to either shot. We are both 88 years old....with assorted ailments from old age mostly.

Cheers,
Mike
