If anyone's still on the fence about getting vaccinated, I can't convince you. However, just from our personal experience, my wife and I know 37 friends, family or coworkers that have had it, including us. 4 of them died from it. Those 4 were all over 70 years old. Out of the 9 of our immediate family that had it, my mother in-law had it the worst. She is 83. When I found her, she was incoherent, lying half off of her bed, half on the floor. Didn't know who was who or what was what or where she was. I called an ambulance and she spent 5 days in the hospital, came home, and had to go back to the hospital again for a day. It took her several weeks, but she recovered well and is independent again.
All indications I've seen are that the vaccines do very well to keep you out of the hospital even if you do catch it. It's a good bet it works well. I'd play the odds and get the vaccine.
Good luck and best wishes to all of you. Stay safe.
