The Case/New Holland company is actually larger than Deere or Kubota, but most of their equipment is farm size equipment. CNH is the largest agricultural company in the world. In the compact tractor market, Kubota leads the market with roughly 60% of the sales, Deere is number two with something between 20% and 23% of the market. New Holland has about 12% to 15% of the market. Combined the 3 companies have roughly 92% of the entire compact tractor market. Mahindra is reported to be #4 with about 5% of the total market.xreliable said:I was originally looking at John Deere. Then Kubota. Is New Holland a viable alternative in terms of quality, reliability value...?
I think it is fair to say that New Holland is a 'viable alternative' to Deere and Kubota. What many people have found is that NH is often a bit more expensive, especially in the under-35hp range of tractors. What many people also find is that NH out-specs most of the competitors or out features them, or both, so while they are SOMETIMES a bit more expensive they are often very good values.
In my case I have a Kubota and a New Holland. I like them both. The NH is smaller than the Kubota but has more hydraulic power on the FEL and a much better design. The Kubota is a larger frame size and offers a bigger operators platform and more horsepower. So I like them both, but they are different class tractors. Interstingly I went to buy a second Kubota (looking at the 24hp B7610) and walked away with a better deal on a NH TC24D so I proved that Kubota is not always the lower price. But in many circumstances it works out that way. As it turned out, I believe the TC24D is vastly superior to B7610 that I was intending on buying so I am very happy with my purchase.
