How About New Holland?

I guess I'll toss in my $0.02 along with ya'll... I purchased a 06 TC34DA in End of January and I love it. It still really hits me every time that I use this thing... HOW MUCH TIME IT SAVES! I think with the land size you have, a TC34DA would be a nice choice, since it's a little bit more compact then the 35, yet has the same HP. Having said that, you really can not go wrong with any size as long as your needs will be met.

I too was looking at Kubota and JD. When it came down to it, I really think that the fit and finish of the NH is much better, all the controls are where you want them and it's easy to maintain. Dealer choice is very important too, since you might have to deal with things from time to time, when I met my NH dealer for the first time, I felt like this guy really did care about me unlike the local Kubota and JD dealer. I can not stand it when some dealers treat you differently... maybe I look young or something? Who knows...

Have you looked at any NH machines yet? Let us know, TBN has some really good peeps on here, we'll help if we can!

I looked at all 3 before finally deciding on the TN75. I had nerrowed ti down to either JD or NH, mainly because I liked the flat/open operator platform both provided. The comparible Kubota at that time had the gears and hump in the center of the platform which my size 14's found every time I got on and off.

I also got better pricing and features on the TN and IMO a better dealer too

I also looked at Orange, Green and Blue. I just like the way Blue is built and the way it sits. Fit and finnish are top notch. I'm sure the other two would do the same as blue but man I just like the complete package.:)

Well, I gotta get my two cents in here, too ... we bought our new NH TC40A three years ago, and have been adding hydraulics, implements, etc. to it ever since. The dealer suggested all the right things for what we planned for the tractor, and was right on every one. He also suggested NH insurance, which we were glad for about two months later, when we ran a three inch stick (which we thought was still ahead of the bucket) over the front axle, under the battery box and out through the hood. $2500 !!!
Insurance came through, we put our "baby" back together, and our cheap lesson didn't cost us a cent.
Dealer suggested skid-steer quick-attach, remote hyd. front and rear (since added two more), industrial tires and insurance ... he recommended against hydrostat and supersteer (both of which we went there to buy), and three years later, I gotta say he was on the money across the board. We've had ZERO complaints, and the dealer has been responsive to every question we've had.
Totally good experience.

I believe Massey is the number one brand worldwide...

When the merger between Case and New Holland happened they became the largest equipment company in the world. Agco is actually a larger company globaly than CNH if you remove their construction equipment sales from the equasion, which is how a Massy dealer could possibly claim this. Overall, CNH is it.

That NOT my understanding exactly. I understand CNH to be the largest equipment company in the world. I also understand CNH to be the largest Agricultural Equipment company in the world. It is also somewhat inaccurate to say that Massy is the #1 manufacturer. Agco may make more "farm tractors" than anyone else and Massey is Agco's #1 brand.

So for the sake of accuracy, the #1 tractor brand in the world may be Massey. The #1 ag company in the world would probably be CNH.

However, also for the sake of accuracy of THIS thread and the original topic asked, New Holland is the #3 compact utility tractor company in the United States & Canada. I have no actual data where Massey ranks in compact utility tractors, but it is likely #5, 6 or 7. It is also safe to say that both CNH and AGCO make their bread & butter sales in servicing real farmers.

I learned when shopping for my tractor (at the NH dealer) that NH has been market leadyer (by far) for hay equipment sence the dawn of time. A drive through the midwest will atest to that. All i see is NH hay equipment. Course green tractors are big in IL (i wonder why;) ) but i see my share of Blue ones out in the feild, expecially those farmers working 3 diffrent crops, pluss hay.

I just wish i had saved more cash for impliments on the front end. As i could double (or more) the use i get out of my tractor if i had all the impliments i wanted.

I went with a TC29DA to keep some pocket cash for attachments . I currently have 3 plus FEL cutting bar, 1 ordered- FEL toothbar, and one pending (BB). My knees and elbows are getting a little raw from all the kowtowing I am doing with "She Who Must Be Obeyed". Jay
