How big a role did TBN play in your last tractor, attachment, or equipment purchase?

TBN gave me the perspective that I wanted on the different tractor brands. As a direct result of this site, and my I purchased a Kioti CK20, shop manual, tooth bar, Bigfoot pads and bucket level indicator. On several occasions I have highly recommended folks I know who are shopping for a tractor to check out TBN. The site has given me invaluable insight into the products I purchased and assisted me in using understanding and enjoying my tractor! So the role played by TBN was extremely significant and I am thankful for being able to look at this site to get information. Tractor on!

I have wondered sometimes how many tractor dealerships and/or salespeople inform a customer about TBN. My salesguy never did, but my purchase was ten years ago so TBN wasn't as large or popular a site as it is today. And for the life of me, I cannot recall just exactly how I discovered TBN.

I got away from utility tractors for a good number of years before needing to buy one for my deer property. Always had lawn tractors and such....and had some interest....but tractors changed allot over the years.

I came to TBN and a few other sources to help form a decision on what to buy before choosing my JD790. At that time it was a fine choice and I got lots of work done with it.

More experience and reading lead me to my current tractor. I didnt know a grapple and a stump grinder were in my future when I bought the 790.....and didnt realize how much I wanted / needed a Hydro tranny.

TBN members and articles lead me to choose my 3320....and I'm quite happy with it at this point. I buy used and look for a good value.....so if trading time comes again.....I can get most (if not all) of my money back. That's how it worked with my old 790....and I expect if I were to trade or sell my 3320 I could do about the same.

I've also researched allot of implements here and made good choices as a result. I try to post my experience too....as most of us need to learn from one another.

I'm sure it will be a huge role, but budget will be the deciding factor. TBN will guide me towards as much tractor as I can afford for my non specifc purposes.

I was most influenced by this site to buy a tooth bar. They are great for serious dirt work!
This site also forced me to buy a grapple, box scraper, cup holder and a quick hitch.

Ditto on the tooth bar. Didn't know I needed one until I read about them here. Now I can't live without it.

Yep, me, too, on the toothbar.:laughing: In fact, I bought a used one from another member to put on my B2710; just made an incredible difference when I went to digging into hard ground.

My head is spinning with all the information over the last couple of weeks of reading. I have been researching SCUT Vs SCUT and if I need the next size up??? I am getting pretty close to pulling the trigger on a BX2660 but would love a 1026r if the price was better. The info and knowledge on this site is great.
