I figured the tongue would bottom out as long as that cutter is.

Not that I have enough tractor for it, but I have always tried to avoid pull-type and batwing cutters for towability. Which is why I stick with an 8' twin

Just pulled it on. Very uneventful. I'm going to try backing it on next time to see if it'll pull some weight off the truck and load the axles a little more.

I haven't put a tape on it but here's a better picture to show the width

Ehh maybe. I'll try backing the shredder on first. I've had airbags on just about all other trucks and don't want to mess with them this time. Truck rode fine

I was concerned about it hitting also but when the ram is extended it really lifts it up in the air. It helps the trailer is a low profile too

Salt alone is different! No argument there. I specifically avoided salted vehicles when I was looking for my truck. I've seen plenty of northern trucks with the lower 6" of the door panels gone, and leaf springs that look like pirates swords in sunken ships..
