Well, mine's pretty easy to figure out isn't it? Get the (*&#$ off my property you *%&$#!

I especially like to tell mushroom hunters that. At 30-40$ per pound those people will stop at nothing for about 2 weeks in the spring. Now if I could just be home on the day the revenuers stop in.

I also use the same handle on backwoodshome.com

There is a lot of neat names out there. In my case I was trying to come up with something that related to where I live. You would have to look at a map of Ontario Can. In the area surrounded by the great lakes is a picture of an elephant with one front leg up, rotate the map 90o. Well anything about being under the tail just doesn't pass as being polite so I flipped back to referencing how stony my farm is. To make a bad situation worse a previous owner rearrainged a lot of the stone fences away from being perpendicular to the farm laneway to being parrellel to it. which means I now have to cross two fields and two stone fences to get from the buildings to the furthest fields.

I started looking on the net for info on tractors and rotary mowers and was always familiar with the bush hog brand. I also ride HD's and dirt bikes, but the main reason I chose this screen name is that...

I am married to one fantastic lady /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Without going into all the details, when I was a child I came down with Red Measels followed by pneumonia. I was at the edge of deaths door. When in this state, three crows came to me and told me not now. Twice more in my life (leaving out details not important to the story) I have come near death and each time the crows called to me, caw, caaa, caw, calling me still. Sometimes they tell me things in the dark stillness. Somewhere along the way it was discovered I am clairvoyant, I know things and sense things and sometimes I act upon them but I never tell people (like people at work or casual friends) because what I see, it is not mine to tell.
I am not the only one who has seen my crows, my girlfriend way back in high school called me Trescrows, she was hispanic, and the old witch woman could see them and others as well. Believe it or not, I do tell a good story, if it is a story /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif is it?, I'll not tell. 3crows

Named after Turbodog, a dark brew by a great [not a micro anymore] local brewery, Abita.

I've been into computers nearly all of my adult life and was an early enough adopter of AOL to grab nearly any name I wanted. Being a sushi and sashimi aficionado, I quite spontaneously used "Wasabi". That was nearly twenty years ago. I’ve long since abandoned AOL, but the nickname “Wasabi” stuck, both online and off.

A funny aside is that, I thought I knew what Wasabi was, but, like most people in North America, had never tasted the real deal until about seven years ago. My in-the-moment grab of that online name actually has had a fairly significant impact on my life…my Wasabi interests morphed from curiosity to horticultural hobby to a side business including propagation and genetic experimentation and are now headed to serious farming of ten acres. Those activities combined with my career in investment consulting, building a cabin on our mountain property, raising our family and operating and maintaining a PT2445 keep me plenty busy and here at TBN less.

More on the very tasty and interesting water loving perennial at www.realwasabi.com.
