I'm curious how we all found TBN. I can't remember exactly how I got here but I am glad I did. So how did you all find your way here?

I was doing a search for parts for the old Sears garden tractor that I was using to mow. Somehow came across this and for some reason I stayed around even though it wasn't what I was looking for - maybe because I knew one of these days (some day) I wanted a tractor and this could lead me down to make sure I purchased the right one. Well, I know what I want, but I'm missing one small ingredient........BTW, wore the Sears out this spring and haven't been able to find the parts or the people that can make it fire again. So now I'm using an old Wizard lawn mower from Western Auto hand-me-down.

As a member of an antique tractor club I was introduced to TBN by some of the other members that have CUT's.

I found it back before it was TBN. I was typing in Kubota on Yahoo or Altavista and up came this site. I recall the original site had Kubota in its name. I started off as Paddock and later changed it to Rat. Rat...

On April of 2000 I was looking for comfortable website to learn also share info...kick back and relax.

TBN has become like a home away from home..also very addictive. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

I was looking to replace a Wheel Horse and had already been to a Kubota dealer in Lancaster County (drooling over a BX2200!!!).

Couldn't convince the CFO to spend 12K dollars for the BX, so I did a search....found a great site (here) to get more information.

Ended up buying the 670, of course. Now, the CFO didn't know about this one until I casually mentioned "Dear, the tractor will be delivered Saturday..."

The rest, as they say, is history.

I had my tractor, and knew about tractors way before I touched a computer! The school I work at put a computer in the teacher's room and I started playing with the internet. I typed in " Kubota BX 2200" and . among other places, TBN popped up. It took me a couple of years to register, as I could not do it from the school computer.
As a matter of fact, I am probably the only member who used his tractor hobby as a reason to join the internet age!/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif.

Wow, I can't even remember! It wasn't TBN back then, but I can't even remember what it was called! Kubota something...?

And I'm only 46 /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif

Wait'll you get another 17 years or so like I have and see how bad the memory's faded./w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif But it seems to me it was called something like kubotasource.com?

Very well put Twinkle_Toes. Couldn't agree more.

I found this site after searching internet for tractor info but was actually pointed over here by CTB and have benifited from both alot but tend to stay put here....and will check the other every once in a while. I remember a member said that there was too much non-tractor stuff on this site and he wasn't goign to contribute anymore here and he hasn't but is still a member on CTB...and a poster of the week.. My point is I think the reason I stay here is because of all the knowledge on EVERYTHING that I can get here>>>>>/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Re: How did you find TBN?

I had just bought my tractor and was looking for information about compacts. I came up on Kubota.com(?) or what ever it was then, when searching. That was at least two complete changes ago. Back then, it didn't look or work anything like it does now. It was a good site back then, but a lot smaller. I remember when it seemed like it was a contest between Kubota.com and what is tractorpoint now. One of them would have more posts for a while, then the other one. Now, there is no contest. TBN always has more posts and more information.

I was at a Kubota dealership that day 2 1/2yrs ago, and was kicking tires and comparing notes with two other customers, whenone of them said he wished he could decide between Green orOrange. The third guy suggested TBN for good info about CUT'sboth of us drove away with new hope, at least I did, now I ownmy Kub as a direct result of that chance meeting ..Thanks TBN ...RayBee /w3tcompact/icons/cool.gif /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif
