That didn't look to bad to me. When it rains on it a time or two and you disk it again what clods you have will really go down in size. I am also glad you chose to fertlize it too. Like we talked before, when you sow those small seed in that fine cut ground you need very little covering if any. I wish I knew what you were planting. When we plant soybeans down here we use 0 20 20 fertlize because the beans make their own nitrogen and the grass isn't as much in them as would be if we used 13 13 13. Lespedezia is another that we don't use any nitrogen on too. The kind of fertilizer used on different crops is what makes things prosper and out do the weeds and unwanted grasses. On our clover when the weeds stick their heads above the clover we clip the top of the weeds and then the clover takes them. Soybeans are great for deer and turkey both down here. Turkey are still active in these bean fields. The insects that come to the things we plant also draw the turkey. Deer love corn, field corn that is. I always leave some for the wildlife. I hope you are having fun with your project and I don't know your area or what grows well are atracts things that you want but I strongly suggest planting a varity of things in your plots nad by all means keep us posted of your results. We can all learn and benefit from you....thanks teddydo
