How do I make it easier on my knee?

I made the clutch on my 9N to operate by hand while recuperating from a motorsickle crash several years ago. The leg was already pretty messed up from Vietnam so the hand unit has served me well over the years. I just bought a new Mahindra and the HST is a wonderful thang!
