How do I use a 4' box blade to grade my gravel road

the steeper the pitch the faster gravel will migrate to the shoulders...

The ideal grade is just enough pitch to keep the water running off the road (into the ditches) fast enough to prevent it from running down the road...

in hilly or mountainous country...by pitching the road into the hill (against nature) it makes recovering displaced gravel possible...granted it is harder cutting ditches and requires more culverts but there is usually much less seasonal maintenance needed...

What angle would I be looking for to have a slight crown? I was thinking of 1" over the 4" width of the box. I have basically no change of elevation on the 200 ft laneway but there is a washboard all along it, which I would assume the box blade is more suitable than the back blade. Also included with my 2310 was a fully hydraulically (3 hyd chlinders, home made) adjustable 4' blade.
