How do you approach tespassers?

Your dog? What is it?

I need a few of them. I have a junkyard, but no dog.

I usually ride out on the tractor w/ FEL making some good noise.. rifle sitting across my lap.

When strangers come to the farm to ask permission to hunt.. I tell them to write down their name, address, phone number and I will put them on the list and give them a call if there is an availability open.

Like I said call the LEO. Wright down the plate numbers of vehicles. Thats about the best you can do....Also some big dudes like me might oblige ya... I generally take alot of crap off someone before I get mad enough to fight. Plus when you have firearms involved it is just not smart to go picking on the big guy in a group.... I kind of resented the way you put that cuz most folks consider me large... I have had little jerks pick on me before cuz they think like you. I avoid most fights even if I have to take a little **** but man don't push too hard. I aint afraid just smart. I get no pleasure in hurting someone...Of course I won't be trespassing on your land anyhow.....I bet there are lots of big dudes in prison that will gladly kick your ****.....so don't be stupid.....Protecting your land aint the same as protecting your home....You could be in violation of laws if you take the law into your own hands... Then you can pick on the big dude in a prison gang and see what happens.....

Bingo! Nothing against you if you consider yourself a big dude, but what you said above is reason enough for me to change my ways. As I said, I'm getting older, things hurt now that didn't used to, (heck, some of 'em healed 20 years ago but are now hurting again) but old ways do die hard. Having a wife and 5 kids to take care of is a big enough reason to wise up from my old ways. As I said, I'm workin' on it. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Oh yeah, I'm not really that small of a guy either. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Ok, it's all good.... We get wiser or we parish.....Just reminded me of a time when I was smart or sober enough not to fight this jerk who gave me cause to. This particular time left a sour taste that I have not gotten rid of yet. It has been bout 15 years.... any way it's cool I get what ya meant to say.....I know u r an allright dude.....

Most hunters won't stay around too long if there is alot of noise or activity in the same vicinity.

Put up some signs warning of a shooting range, go out and do a little timely target practice, shooting in a safe direction of course, and I'll bet you will never have to say a word to anyone.

Here's a sign you can post.

Now, it will probably get stolen, but I'm having one of my "No Trespassing" signs painted on a piece of 1/2" thick armor plating. I'm putting it on a post that will give some, so it shouldn't send the bullet straight back at the shooter. However, there isn't a deer slug or a rifle anyone will be carrying that will go through it. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I made up a set of swinging targets made with this stuff and the BMG 50 I had wouldn't do anything but put a big pock mark in it. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif No more holes from buck shot in this sign!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hopefully they won't just spray paint over it /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Ahhhh, Dargo. Why was that written in past tense? If you still had it, I don't believe you would have tresspassers.
