I always thought that the anti splatter was just for the nozzle. Have some, but never once used it. I hate cleaning up the little balls all around your weld. Very time consuming.

There are products out there that are designed to spray on your work instead of the gun. Check out Protex.. Widely used to prevent spatter from sticking to your parts.

I use it more on tools and clamps and such than on the nozzle.
Works good for protecting the screws on clamps and visegrips.

If you use a lot of anti-spatter, it's cost effective to get the concentrate. Supply your own spray bottle and you can use enough to never have to grind berries off the table or fixtures without worrying about how fast those $8 aerosol cans empty.
