That New Holland is bigger than my V417, sure wish it had those tires and wheels.Xfaxman, I just showed pics of your machine to the girls in the yard.
They liked the looks of yours and hoped you would reconsider.
Here's what they use now:

The pic doesn't show our typical daily use though. This one was from my 'how many farmers does it take to change a light bulb' series.

Good job in making them brackets, I have the same Farmi winch as you and I just lay my 3 chockers on the left side and the pulley on the right. Painted my chains blue. Never lost anything since I've had it, over 12 years. Have you had any trouble with the cable coming back, after pulling it out?[/QUOTE]
I am not sure I understand what you mean by the cable coming back. Do you mean it winches itself in w/o pulling the rope or maybe it won't winch in when you do pull the rope ?? Mine is a couple years older than your but no, I have not had any trouble with it. I have never even adjusted the clutch. I have had to tighten the chain and tighten the drag brake on the drum to keep it from over running when I pulled the cable out.
I have only lost one choker. But I found it in the spring - pretty lucky.
