How do you store your attachments

Sometimes, tarps can make things rust twice as fast as not having a tarp on them. If and when the moisture gets under the tarp, the tarp holds it in there longer, and they rust 24/7 then. The dirt/gras gives off ALOT of moisture, I would put atarp down under them first, and then cover the impliment while letting air free flow under the tarp to dry it out.

Look how old cars under tarps rusts to pieces in a few years, but with no tarp they last 10 years.

It is good to keep attachments inside, but some are less vulnerable. My rubber track machine is always undercover, not because of the rain so much but because of the sun. My new flail is also inside. If anything needs to sit out it is on stone with no covering, like my 4n1 bucket.

A few years back my riding mower was needing engine repair. I didn't have time to mess with it and since I had another mower, I just set it to one side and covered it with a tarp. About a year later, I decided to work on it, and it had deteriorated badly. There was rust everywhere, and the steering was locked up. Even the paint was flaking off in places, with rust underneath. So I learned the hard way that tarps hold moisture that evaporates from the ground. Especially so in humid, wet climates.

We have heavy DEW here almost every morning, unless its winter, then its frost, so anything left outside is wet all night and doesn't dry if there is a tarp on it, so it often rusts 24/7!

Like most, I have to choose what can be stored in my limited inside space. The tractor is inside at all times and has priority.

If it has moving parts like a bush hog I keep it inside. Stuff like the harrow or box blade I don't feel too bad about leaving outside. They are just a big piece of steel with no moving parts.

Still, if I had the room I would much rather have it inside. It is much easier to hook things up when you can slide them around a little on the floor.

I agree though that if it is outside don't use a tarp. It makes it worse.

Everything stays in the barn except the older than I am disc that can only be pulled forward.
The barn on my place had two large broken down doors when I bought it. Fixed the one that could be salvaged and framed the one that could not be closed.
Even though this disc looks like it has spent its entire multi decade life outside it still makes me feel guilty to leave it out. ;o}

I know what you mean about leaving the disk out. I bought a 10 foot International disk and a10 foot International field cultivator this spring and I know neither of them have seen a shed in 30 years but I made room for them inside.
