How do you store your outside generator?

Underground wiring is all done. Generator is ready.

How do you cover/store your outside generator?

Protected from the weather yet easy to access for starting and service.

Could use a little help on visioning this.

Used to store it in the garage and then wheel it outside to run it. Preference would have been to keep it in a little shed by itself with openings at the roofline for sufficient ventilation

One of those green metal box that the power company used. Strong and weather resistant. If it is big enough to cover the generator.

I just use a plastic shed, it's worked fine fore 4 or 5 years

Just build a doghouse. Make it 3-sided with the roof and the "front" removable for service and be absolutely sure you include vents or louvers for air passage.

I use a generator cover and keep it under a carport out of the sun and wind.

Mine stays on the porch under the roof.

Mine too. I built a porch roof over the man door to the garage, next to the feed to the transfer switch. Flip switch, walk outdoors, start generator.

When I had a portable generator I stored it in a small plastic deck box. The top opened, as well as double doors on the front.
