Plowing is much faster than blowing, although it becomes a lot closer if you count the time re-landscaping your lawn come spring. And the snowbanks can get really high in some years.I find plowing to be much faster than blowing snow. I put the plow on front and the blower on the back.
The (front mount) snowblower runs 6" past the edge of the pavement, and there is virtually no buildup of snow along the edges, which is especially important where the driveway meets the road.
Then again, if you have a 1/4 mile long drive through the woods, a plow makes a lot more sense. There is a reason that almost all municipalities use plows and not snowblowers.
