i use wet water, its got to be wet water, dry water won't work.

Yeah, that dry stuff will scratch your paint and make your hands cold.

I get this stuff called Amazing (I think). I get it at a local $1 store, for yes, $1 a bottle.

I spray it on the pivots and zerks. It does a great job of cleaning off the excess grease. That's the extent of my farm equipment detailing...

I may be in the minority but im a bit of a fanatic about all my vehicles, Tractor included. I fugure with the $ i spend on this stuff, i better do what I can to keep it looking and running like new.

I wash my Montana weekly

Wax it weekly

and use film/portection spray on some chassis parts to keep the rust at Bay

Im sure folks would think me odd if they saw me waxing the Rig every week....but...i like it to look good and the paint on these things isnt top class Base/Clear (least not on mine) so it needs some TLC

No Tire Shine though :D

Dave, Maybe you can still get that thick diamond plate clear plastic they used to cover furniture with back in the 60's. You can encase your fleet in that stuff and save alot of time.:) Just kidding you, I wish I had your "clean" ethic. :)

I blow mine off with compressed air after every use. Wash it with carwash soap and a wash mitt when needed. I use citric acid on the zerks and pivots to remove the mess....Like to keep it as nice as I can, given it's the most expensive vehicle I've ever bought:D

I think some of yall wash your tractors more than I wash my truck or the wife's car. Not that there is anything wrong with taking pride in one's stuff. I simply don't have the time to wash my stuff. Heck my truck still has dried mud from deer season and it closed in January. Turkey season added a bit more mud but I plan to have it clean before next hunting season:) I will confess that I washed a lawn mower for the first time this spring. My Dad got a new (used) JD mower and when I got home I wondered if mine was still green and yellow under the dried grass. Guess what she looked good once I removed the layer of crud.

I didn't know how dirty my stuff was until I borrowed my neighbors pressure washer last weekend and hosed everything down, even my house. My tractor is blue again.:)

I don't wash my L2800.... sometimes I leave it out in the rain but usually that's 'cuz it rained unexpectedly... I gotta tell ya, it's just not something I am concerned with. Washing and waxing a tractor? Geez Louise! (sorry Louise)
