Your picture of your pond bank looks like you could mow about halfway down to the water without a problem. Of course, pictures can be deceiving. You should be able to set your tires out to maximum width and mow your slope. A sickle-bar would also be a good choice, but the slope is so wide you'd have to get halfway down just to get the blade at the waterline. The only other way to keep from burning out the clutch on your tractor is to trade it in on a hydrostatic model.
