The York rake has a bracket bolted to the frame on one end and a short sleeve welded to the other. A threaded T handle screws into the sleeve and allows for height adjustment of the wheel yoke.

There's a big difference between $1,200 and the York $3K to $4K for something not used a lot. Everything is going to be better if it's double or triple the price.

Nephew owns a rental company. Used one of his for rocks, just didn’t do what I needed.

I guess I'll soon have 40 attachments!
I recently got a stump grinder which does a great job but leaves a foot deep pile of chips and dirt. I have 40 pines all in a row to do.
I was thinking about a rake like this TSC or similar.
1) if I use it for small limbs, sticks or leaves does it work for that?
2) does it damage the lawn. I have hydraulic top link so I can change angle
3) It won't get a lot of use. What's the best bang for the buck?
4) 6ft.? (50hp Deere)
5) We have a horse paddock that's compacted with sand on it. It's about 50x60, level & hard as concrete. Horse piles I clean area every 2 weeks or so. Would it work for that?
I have a 7ft rear blade or sometimes just the FEL bucket...but I then have to put a little more sand down.
6) Is it useful for anything else?

Thanks so much...View attachment 4265190

I used to use my york rake for trails, driveway, goat pen, etc. But found it got clogged a lot with twigs and thick weed stems and I have to get off all the time to unclog it. I got this one Heavy Duty 3-Point Dethatcher Rake (60") CMP Attachments and love it for all those things. Never get's clogged up and doesn't damage the lawn.

I agree with gravel use and want to try the idea of bolting a piece of steel to tines to hrade the gravel.

I use it for gravel drive in the spring just to loosen things up.

I have used mine with some good results if there no branches to clog up the tines.

I find a rake useful enough to have but I don't use it to often, mainly cleaning up excavated areas for sticks/roots and sometimes rocks.

It also comes in handy for maintaining trails.

Mine can pivot so it will follow the terrain if I take a pin out. I still need to add gauge wheels.

I use one of these for road maintainance

The frame takes out the tractor rocking telegraphing dips and ripples.

Drop down blade when material needs to be moved.

I've used the tool for the past 25 years.

Even a 6 footer needs a 2000# tractor to get any hill country work done.
