for your age? I got to thinking after I had answered a post elsewhere. I don't take any meds. I've never had a broken bone. I don't have to wear glasses to read. I stay active enough that I don't think I am overweight (5'10", 165 lbs). I am deaf in right ear due to motorcycle accident in 1973. Hope this is not too much info, but it seems that country folks just live longer. Went to funeral last Tuesday for FIL's uncle. He was 99, his wife of 69 yrs is 92.

Forgot to add that I just turned 50.

Count your blessings.
Continue to live life to it's fullest.
Don't get overconfident; have regular checkups.
It can happen to you.
I hope it doesn't.:)

I'm 53, not overweight, in pretty good physical condition, work outdoors as much as possible, can still climb a tree using a rope and spurrs. I still have a lot of hair. I have noticed that I am not as strong as I used to be. Although I always feel like I am and pay for it sometimes the next day with a few minor pains. Glasses need to be worn to read and see up close. The mind is still funtioning perfectly, I think anyway. I can still ride my bicycle ona 30 mile trip and walk 10 miles in the woods without a problem. All in all I think I am doing pretty good compared to some others I know that are in my age group.

I just drank a gallon of Golytely for my screening colonoscopy. Am I healthy? My colon got a grade of A+ by the GI Doctor! Will I live another day? I have no clue, but I will enjoy today.
