Junk...it sure has been a hot dry summer....even here in mid michigan. The shop has been so hot I haven't been able to much in there either.....

Maybe next year I will have air in it..

This post is a valid topic...weed or ??

Lots of gardeners grow all sorts of stuff because it looks neat, or it produces a nice, colorful flower. or even because it has a cool texture to the leaves.
So, if the plant pleases you, why not see it's whole life cycle. (wouldn't it be funny if it turned out to be some sapling of a weed!! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif 3" caliper and still growing! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif )

My personal limit with weeds, if it takes a grubbing hoe /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif to get rid of it, in ain't a weed, but a tree. Of course next time, I won't let it get so big. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Actually hobbyfarm, it was 'G' rated, but like so many of such movies; could be interpreted in some "colorful" ways to the more mature [is that an oxymoron?] audience.

We actually have a problem here with weeds also, but not the same type as yours. For the first time since our pond was built we have a real headache with floating green crud that completely covers the surface. It started just after our annual Independence Day cook-out and quickly got out of hand. I'm working with the guys at Pond Boss to see if we can come up with a solution to get rid of the stuff. Right now we are still determining which type of weed that it is so that we can control it with the right chemicals. I'm thinking that it went ballistic this year because of the extremely high temperatures of the pond water itself but not absolutely sure yet.

Actually, I think there was a SimFarm, but not much tractoring on it.

Hobbyfarm you either have a really clean mind [that is a complement], an incredible amount of tact in your posts, or did an even better job of hiding the PG13 in G clothing than I did.

I'm guessing you followed perfectly [though for your sake I hope you missed it], but just to for those who missed it [see what I get myself into! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif], "computer" was the punchline....after everyone reading had already imagined either part of Junkman's name or something from the title instead. Both can mean both something I wouldn't recommend smoking, and, then one step further, a certain body part.
