Things sure seem to work out that way sometimes don't they!
If our snow doesn't show up tonight, it'll be your fault:laughing:

Well, you're right. I goofed it all up. The snow started out fine, but changed to freezing drizzle. Just checked the radar and it looks like precip will end in less than an hour. At least there's some crusted snow to push around.

Yep...but at least that freezing drizzle is on top of the snow...

And it was hard to resist the temptation to get out and complicate matters by removing the snow.

Looks like about 6 inches on the ground, snowing hard, forecast says 9-14.

However:

So I don't care...

I'll wait to move it as they did say it could mix with sleet along the coast and it's a LOT easier to move that when it's on top of a foot of snow...

Already got ours! Inland along the "upper elevations" of north shore of Lake Superior snowed for 60 hours with totals in our area between 36" to 40"+ part light snow with some heavy stuff mixed in at times?h the "lake effect". Sure has laid a nice "base" in the woods for the winter :) Have a neighbor that keeps our U driveway plowed and he is already having problem finding place to put the snow and real tough back pulling in spots so I ended up shoveling a lot more than I enjoy. Good news is that he has a large loader he can come and move the piles back if he has to. After snow stopped temps dropped to -20F with much worse wind chills. This much snow in early December usually means a long winter with much more snow to come. Better than bare ground and -20 to -30F...that raises problems with everything with the deep ground freeze.

Man, would I like to bite into that with my tractor's blower! Pictures, please!

Well, the plow on the Gator didn't do too good.
It wasn't the plow, actually...I used a strap that I found in the garage to replace the wire rope and that broke a few times. It was an old strap...probably a bit dry rotted.
So, got the 4400 out and cleaned up the drive.
I've got another strap (a nylon binder, actually) which I'll try later....not sure that's going to be heavy enough though.

We got a good 12-14 inches. I'm glad it's a fluffy snow...it would be a real bear if it was a wet snow.

It would have been nice to have a snow blower...this kind of snow is great for a blower!

Snowing hard here this morning, wife and I were out to a Christmas party last night, 4wd was nice coming home this morning. Hard to say what we'll get, we got almost 6 inches yesterday that wasn't really forecast. It's calling for about a foot today, other than putting chains on I'm ready to go.

Strap for what? Is your plow custom? Mine uses a chain.

Many UTVs use a winch for lifting the plow. Although winches normally use wire rope, the steady "up/down" required when plowing results in a lot of wear on a short length of the wire rope. It's recommended to use a strap (like some boat winches use) rather then the cable supplied with the winch.
Do you use a snow plow on your Gator? If so, how does the chain work? I don't think a chain would work with a winch...not the kind I've seen on UTVs.
