In the business I work in, we'll phase out something that we produce 200,000 a year on, but make $5 on each one in favor of something that we only make 50,000 units a year but make $25 profit per unit. It may be a less popular product, but our company makes more money. In our case, it backfired, because we dropped the products that we built our reputation on in favor of something new, just because it was supposedly more profitable. Will it work in New Holland's case? Time will tell...
