I assume they are standing on a fel. Need a few posts to determine if the tractor is gear drive or Hydro and which is more efficent for this task! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

One Spring, at my cabin in the mountains, I heard that my neighbors were planting bulbs. Not wanting to be left out, I planted one, too. It was right at the end of a split rail fence, along the road in front of the cabin. It didn't sprout -- I planted it thread-side-down, and perhaps the sprouts come from the body like a potato. I wanted to dig it up and re-plant it the other way, but someone stole it. I hope they have better luck than me -- the world needs more bulbs.

The irony is that this is a true story -- in one of my moments of whimsey I planted a lightbulb just to drive my wife a little batty, and it DID get stolen.

I've tried setting out "bulbs" both ways, thread side up and down, didn't sprout either way. The local extension agent suggested that I have a soil test done. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Gosh Don; I can remember when some cretinous fellows relaced a porch bulb with a red one.

Seems it was at a house some members of the fairer sex were renting.

Think this occured just after an add appeared in the local newspaper looking for male renters to share the house.
