How many have concealed carry permit to carry a gun ?

I bought a Smith & Wesson SD40 VE Pistol..it is a semi auto 14+1 double stack...Anyone have any experience or thoughts on this ...I only paid $289.00 brand new...I could not resist...It is a little big for concealed carry...I have a IWB hoster and am trying to get used to it....I think I am going to carry it in the small of my back..cross draw...Thoughts..

I have had a CCW for quit a few years, I don't carry all the time, when we went out west with the bike (5000 miles round trip) felt a lot better with it on, its a small frame Taurus 45.

The SD VE models are a solid choice for accuracy and dependability like all S&W products. The trigger is in the not so great area but there are aftermarket kits to tune the pull. Excellent review:Gun Review: Smith & Wesson SD9 VE | The Truth About Guns

I currently have three CCWs: one each from TN, UT and AL. Since I'm now a resident of TN, the AL license is null and void, but I carry it anyway.

I open carry a S&W 329PD when I'm out and about; never had a problem, hope I never do.

I have had one for my S&W 3" model 66 revolver for 25 years. I still think it is the best shoulder holster made. Only thing is you have to wear a coat or jacket at all times with it.

I won't...its been tried before. And, it still won't help those of us in states like MD if it does happen to pass.

Haven't read every page of this thread... not sure if I have posted I it or not but I dont think so.

I support carry in any form... open or concealed. Just excersize your rights. I live on a farm and always carry for meny reasons. Am very careful in restricted areas like schools post office and court house and follow the rules accordingly. But I think there should be no restrictions on carry if you have CWP, due to having gone the backround check, etc. Its a hassle to un-conceal and unload, and stow my pistol (before i am within 1000' of school propety) just so I can leagelly get out of the truck to pick up my kids from school. Nut-jobs who shoot up schools dont have CWP and stand a better chance of getting stopped sooner if law abiding folks like me are armed at the right time!

I've had my CWP about 4 years and carry every place I can... hope I never need it but its there just like my Leatherman plyers and pocket knife.
