How many hours on your tier 4 tractor

Thanks for the knowledge. I'd never heard of that frequency. I guess if it doesn't have an impact on performance it shouldn't matter.

The way I understand it the DPF has to create some serious heat to dissipate the collected material. Would frequent regens shorten the life of the DPF??

Not according to the LS rep. I asked at the last farm show about the 5 hour cycle time seemed excessive and he said that is how the Shibaura DPF system is set up. I keep the RPM's over 2000 when in regen.

The Massey Ferguson 17xxE series uses the three cylinder shibaura engines as well it cycles pretty frequently as well, there is no loss of power, it seems to go into regeneration cycle at the most inconvenient time possible though, like about the time you are ready to quit for the day.

Kubota M135GX, Tier 4 interim, 417 hr, 18 to 55 hours between regens, computer replaced due to shifting problem, longer spacing between regens since new computer installed doing same work so Kubota has tweaked their programming with field experience.

LS XR4140 34 hrs. as of today, first regen cycle was at 27 hrs. Being a new tractor, I guess I was possibly not running it at high enough RPM. to get closer to the 50 mark. But what I use it for I might never get 50 hrs. between regen. Just a little FEL work and pulling a trailer with firewood. Since the regen at 27 hrs. I have been trying to run a little higher RPM, just grab a lower gear and run it about 1800-2000 to see if I get more than 27 hrs. between first and second regen.

First regen at 17 hours, next at 57, have about 70 hours now...no issues with tier 4
Seems new technology scares some out there, fuel injection used to be a new thing, as was electric starters, even rubber tires!
Who knows what the future holds?

Anyone have a Deere 3 cylinder turbo, and how often do they regenerate?

L 3301 I have had 2 regens so far and have around 70 hrs on it. The last regen I did not even notice it until I saw the light flashing. I also found that if I open it all most wide open the regen does not last as long. I try to keep the RPM's around 2000 and just use a lower gear if it is to fast
