How many hours on your tier 4 tractor

I have a L3901 with about 115 hours on it, it has regened 8 times without any problems. Here is a list of the hours and date of each regen:

How are you using it that seems like a lot of regens for the hours.

I have been running my 3901 at pto speed or higher. I have mowed with it and moved snow 3 times. I have also done some gravel work this spring.

Most of what I do is cutting firewood to heat our home. Most of the time I'm using the tractor it is 30 degrees or colder, I don't like cutting wood when it is much warmer than that. I have many hours on the tractor that it was in the teens while I was using it. The picture below is what I do most of the time with the tractor:

I have an SVL90-2 with 650 hours and it has done 7 or so regens since new. It runs at high rpm consistently, the higher the rpm the less frequent the regens. I have also read from the manual that the regen can be performed at a minimum of 1200 rpms, it doesn't need to run at WOT. We also recently purchased an R630 compact wheel loader but it has yet to regen.

That is one thing about the Kubota (at least the L3901), you have to have the RPMs up to heat the DPF high enough to burn off. I know there is an updated for cold climates.

I have a VW diesel and you can't tell when it is doing a regen. If it is idling you can just make out that is sounds a little different.

Makes sense then most of my hours are mowing or pulling harrow or my rake.

L3901 50.4 hours as of today, just finished the 50 hour service. Had one regen around the 30 hour mark cant remember exactly. About half the hours are mowing the other half is grading/loader work.

MX5200 76 hours and 4 regens. Don't remember the hours. But if running at least 1800 rpm's and everything is good and hot it doesn't ask to increase the rpm's. So even when doing loader work I set the throttle at 1800-2000. Unless I need to slow it down for control.

farmer2009, do you have a HST? I try to keep the RPM's up, but when moving logs through the woods it's a little hard to do with a DT all the time.
