We have 5 vehicles in rotation. My work van gets traded just before the warranty runs out. ( usually at 48/49k miles ) My wife's daily driver is a lease and goes back at 3 years with roughly 36k on it. My du p truck used mainly for plowing ... I got rid of the last one at 7k miles after 2 years due to rust already taking a toll on everything. My own personal "nice" truck.. I will typically trade out of it every 2-3 years and it will typically be in the 20-25k miles on it. .. I bought a 99 F150 from a friend who is the original owner. .. It had 153k on it but had zero rust ( Florida its whole life ) .. Had to go through the entire truck and basically fix / restore almost everything.. Bought it for 2k.... In it now for 11k after all repairs... I'm going to try and get 250k out of that one.

2003 Chevy 2500HD 4x4 6.0 engine (mileage sucks) 4.10 rear end....currently has 138K......no major problems......plan to keep to at least 200K.
Wife's 2000 Mer. Benz ML320........currently has 139K.....runs like a top.........plan to keep for years........at least 200K.
1985 Honda Civic.........85K on her. Once belonged to mother-in-law......little ole lady from Pasadena car......carb. with what seemed like 100 vacuum hoses went bad two years ago.......replaced with a Weber carb......quite a job......runs great now......35 miles per gallon......me and the dogs use it as "go around" car........wife doesn't like it.....smells like me and the dogs......will drive until it won't move.
Paid cash for first two vehicles.....no car payments for me!

Lot of you guys must drive a LOT....my 2003 Chevy 2500HD is just now breaking 90,000 miles. Should be good for another 10 years at least.

Ours get sold soon as I have any real reliability problems or we just plan get tired of them. So far it has always been because we just wanted something new. Normally under 80K (mostly Toyotas) and it seems we get a good amount back out of them at that point. We been very lucky to never have any car problems that caused a break down along the road and hope too keep that trend up!

I try to only use my 2008 2500HD for towing, it has around 30k on it i think. My "new" pilot has 120k, old pilot 350k.

...we bought a ML 350 new in I think 2007.... God I hated that thing.. Complete POS... More dashboard lights came on than they put on the Christmas tree in Time Square.

I bought a rust free 2006 GMC 2500 Duramax from ND in 2009. I parked it for the first winter I owned it, and then moved from MI to Colorado. In MI, you get rid of the vehicle when rust takes over, which is about 10 years if you're daily driving it. Out here, I am basically planning to keep this truck forever.
It has no more rust than when I bought it. Currently at 260k miles, with no major problems. If the engine or trans goes, which could happen around 500k, it'll still be WAY cheaper to rebuild or place them than to buy a new truck. Plus, I don't really care for the newer trucks... I'll keep the 'ol 2006.
FWIW, we offed the wife's 2005 Diesel Liberty a few years ago at around 160k miles because it still had some value, but was on the edge of the slope... Plus, it was terribly uncomfortable on trips, had very little interior space, and the trans was starting to have drainback issues... We eventually replaced it with Colorado native 2001 Isuzu Rodeo that came to us with 240k miles. I put a junkyard trans in it and it's been a great vehicle for the last year. I think we have a total of $2k into it, including new tires. If the engine eventually dies, I'll just rebuild it, or toss in a junkyard engine and keep going.
My "shop truck" 2002 GMC 2500 with a 6.0L has 160k and is still going strong. I'd drive it across the country today.

Depending on how it's running and if I trust it. I use to buy Town cars at 55-80,000 miles and drive till 175-250,000 depending on when I got another good buy on one. Always had body shop detail them and keep them sharp, then had a couple of trucks but now I just have one truck and it's set up just how I want it and last one I liked I kept around till 439,000 and I plan same or more for this one 2015 F350srw currently at 70,000.
Wife likes driving hers till 200,000 plus. I prefer ordering trucks new to get what I want so I am not always wishing for something different.
