How many people own or have owned a vehicle which went over 300,000 miles?

What year and model was it, and did you have any major repairs? Are you religious about scheduled maintenance?
200,000 is easily attainable these days, my 1998 Sierra had that and still ran good, although I did put a rebuilt tranny in at 130K, then a Mr Goodwrench transmission in about 25000 miles later.
I've also had several trucks which had well over 150K when I upgraded.
100,000K is no longer the milestone that it was, rather than being considered high mileage that's the point when most drive train warranties run out.
Nearly every truck I've owned in the last 30 years has hit that point.

Though I am 78 years old, I have never owned a car with anything close to 300,000 miles.
I do have a 1996 E-320 Mercedes that I bought in 1999, when it had 25,000 miles.
It now has 112,000 miles, and has been the MOST EXPENSIVE vehicle to maintain that I have ever owned.
I LOVE the car, but.....it has been a $$$ maintenance nightmare, and I DON'T take it to a $$$ Mercedes dealer for repair.
I have a 2010 Corolla (57,000), a 1997 Suburban (135,000), a 2000 Cadillac STS (83,000), and a 1987 Jeep (126,000), all of them have been less expensive to maintain than the E-320.

Around here 10 to 12 years and the thing is rotted into the ground. My last two trucks the frame was busted and rusted and the floorboards were of the Flintstone variety at at 10 years. I have had 2 Mitsubishi's go well into the 200k mark

ughh-- never made it to the 300k mark. came close with only one vehicle and 98 dodge caravan at 260k but i went thru several engines and 2 tranny rebuilds. when the electrical quit .. i called it quits. everything else i had always was between 120k to 190's then chucked it.

i came closest with a 1984 Isuzu Trooper, 4cyl, 4sp, 280,000+ miles. Replaced alternator and water pump twice, oil pump once. Sold it, still running good and no rust.

Made it to 285,000 miles 2002 buick lesabre 3.8 engine.Great dependable car.

2006 Pontiac Vibe going on 300k. Should have died at 100k. is currently our junk and estate sale hauler. Change oil regularly every 4000 miles. Trans fluid and heater hoses at 100k. A few sets of front brakes, wipers and an A/C recharge. That's it. Run snow tires in winter. Was supposed to have died a long time ago so I bought a 2010 Vibe with 30K miles a few years ago that's been sitting in the barn undriven except to warm it up when I feel guilty. You'd be surprised what we have shoved into it. Even hauled 50 hay bales on a snowmobile trailer behind it once(not recommended). Still gets 30+ mpg with snow tires, 34+ on regulars and with speeds lately above 80mph on the highway. I have a policy of not going above 3300 rpm for any reason trying to keep the motor together.

I wasn't very clear in my first post. (since edited.) Nearly every one of my trucks have gone well past 100,000 miles, not 300,000.

When I was in HS my father rebuilt the front end in his 1 year old '75 Power Wagon with 12,000 miles on it because the warranty had run out. Then he traded it for a 2wd F150 so that he wouldn't need to rebuild another front end.

My wife replaced her 99 3.3L Dodge Caravan several years ago and it became back-up for kids and grandkids is at 312k and run's surprisingly well. Replaced coolant fan control,water pump,radiator,front suspension struts once each,2 brake jobs plus drive belt ldler,LF brake pads and heater/ac blower speed resistor all 3 so many times I lost count. I do 95% of my repairs but took it to two different brake mechanics trying to figure out why LF brake pads repeatedly wear out,still don't know. What most baffle's is that it doesn't pull to left while driving nor braking.

1999 Nissan Pathfinder 312,000 when I had it hauled to the Junkyard, electronics went bad and cost more than it was worth. Got my son through two college degrees and numerous road trips. Four sets of tires, three brake jobs, two shock/strut replacements, one A/C compressor. One major advantage of keeping a vehicle a longtime is you get to use those lifetime warranty replacement on parts.
