My uncle was put in the ICU after rolling a tractor while mowing at his tree farm. He had no load on, just hit a bump on a side hill. This was before ROPS were mandatory on new tractors. This was probably one thing that influenced me to go with a full cage because if you roll in the woods, the ROPS might not help with all those trees and rocks sticking up. I've operated for 40 years and have yet to tip a tractor. You can't put a spec on what load a tractor can carry in varied terrain. It just comes down to experience, judgment, proper ballasting and driving techniques.
There is no doubt that my 45hp tractor is more appropriate for my uses than my 19hp was. I rarely find the limits of the 45HP tractor whereas I found the limits of the 19hp daily. I'm still eyeing that 12,000 pound wheel loader.... maybe someday
