Maybe I'm mixing up the landing with the naval battle... time for some more reading.![]()
What's interesting about looking back at WWII is, the current USA military has adopted the tactics and the idea of a small superior technology possessing force of the losing side, the Germans. Remember the side with the best tanks, fastest aircraft, icbm's, cruse missiles, guided bombs, swept wing jet aircraft, stealth, better guns, LOST! HS
Sounds just like our military today! HSThat is an interesting point. But the Germans were never able to produce their superior weapons in the quantities that would have made a difference (too little too late), and ****** was the best general the Allies had on their side. There were so many bad tactical decision made by the micro-managing madman in Berlin that the British at one time had designs on killing him but it was decided that he was doing more good for the allied cause so those plans were scrapped. The bottom line was that a small country like Germany, that took on countries whose output of war materiels and men outnumbered it greatly was not a good idea.

But today our military has opted for the 50 Me 262 strategy. Five thousand F15's or 187 F22's, 7000 F16's or 50 F35's. HSExactly! Five thousand P-51's will win out over 50 Me 262's every time.
The Air force is training more unmanned aircraft controllers (pilots) than they are fighter pilots etc...But today our military has opted for the 50 Me 262 strategy. Five thousand F15's or 187 F22's, 7000 F16's or 50 F35's. HS
