I am begining my search for bucket forks, 7'-8' landscape rake, 3pt hitch spreader, and chipper. What ballpark prices will I see. I am thinking 500 landscape rake, 300 spreader and I am dreaming but 1200 for the chipper. I have been looking localy for used but haven't come up with anything. I guess I will be visiting my 3 local dealers this weekend.

Thanks,
Steve

Steve:

I bought a 6' Leinbach rake, with guide wheels about 6 months ago for about $600 +/-. I believe the wheels were about $250, but well worth it if you really want to level things out /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif.

Can't help with the other items. My bucket forks came with my used tractor and I don't have a chipper.

northern tool has a chipper for $1300,says USA made.I figure around us one should be a couple hundred higher (same quality) It's kind of hard to tell northern's quality from a 1"x1" picture and no name brand.I would love to have one but low on my list.

Hello Steve--For reference on pricing, you are welcome to browse our website. We dont stock a chipper--However the prices mentioned in this post, do seem to be in line.--Ken Sweet

I picked up a non-running ancient 16" chipper last summer from a local junk yard. Put in a truck battery & jumper wired the electrical... The 330 Ford V8 roared to life!! $850.00. A quirk in MN trailer license regulations calls this agricultural no tags required, need lights though.

1st job was to chip a 60' Pine tree. 12 yards of mulch. Still running on the $5 gas I put in.

It takes saplings in one bite, no need to trim branches.

Only trouble with it is that it's so heavy that it sinks in the mud if left outside in the rain.

Happy shopping.
