Go by your local dealer and discuss doing warranty work on the used tractor with the owner and / or the shop foreman. You may be surprised at what you find out. When we first moved back to the farm, I bought the first new tractor from a dealer about 90 minutes away. The local dealer did any and all work including warranty work in a timely manner even though the tractor wasn't purchased there.RickND said:I'm actuallly still considering the local dealer because from what I understand warrenty work is completed on those units sold my the local dealership first ... then all others.
Addditionally I don't have a rig to haul the tractor if needed to the out of town dealership.
I feel like if I take advatage of the better price I'll loose out on timely ... if any ... local warranty work.
