Oil & Fuel How much Oil?

I have my brothers Kubota BX 2230 tractor and want to do an oil and filter change for him, How much oil do I need and what type 15W-40?
I went to the Kubota website and used the parts lookup and it said to use 2.6 Quarts is this with or without the filter change?

I dunno but 3 quarts will do it. Use oil rated for diesels.

I use Kubotas .
Put in 3 quarts and check it .
Add what ever it takes if any to bring the oil up to the full mark
The owners manual is off some what as it calls for less than it actually takes to fill it.
