Just thinking out loud: do not miss what has been said about get 3 pt pto auger out if run down under rock or roots. Have always wondered why you could not install hyd motor on the input shaft on a 3 pth auger so you could reverse it. There are a lot of very good hyd augers out there, used power company trucks. You might be try looking there for a unit. I have a pto hyd pump that mounts directly onto the pto shaft, geared for the pto shaft so not gearbox to speed up the pump, bought it from Surplus Center? think is correct name. If you buy pump be sure you buy large enough so when it wears to supply your needs. But I use my pump on hyd boom mower to drive the cutter head only. I do not have any control on the cutter using the pto engagement as I do not need to cutter to cut backwards. I did install relief valve between pump and cutter head. Used filter and tank already on the cutter.
I am under the impression the max gpm of your tractor is a the 540 rpm speed but no idea where I got that idea.
