How much slime for a lawn mower tire?

first, mix some soap and water and pour is on the tire when inflated with hair on the tread and the bead and watch to see where the air bubbles come out and that will tell you where the leak is. then put the slim in (about 8 ounces to start) and rotate the tire evenly to spread to slime around the entire inside and that should work. -i used this method to fill my mower tire about a year ago and it has not failed me yet;)

Heck just keep putting slime in it until the leak stops. Don't be shy, if a little is good a lot is better.

I used half a bottle on each of my front tractor tires, which are probably near the size you're looking at.

I had a slow leak like yours in the rear right and front left on my lawnmower. Slime had the recommended rates on the bottle. I used that and put 8 oz in the front which fixed that problem and then used 16 oz in the rear. I ran it around the yard for a while and parked it, Next day it was flat again. I then put in another 16 oz and drove it around to distribute it good. That time it worked. Tire is holding up now. I dont think you could put too much in to harm the tire. Just harm your pocket book if used too much. I was considering the tube idea at first but Lowes wanted over $20 for a tube.

So far I've used half of a 16 oz. bottle in each tire. One as stopped leaking, and it seems like the other has slowed down. I put more air in the leaking one and drove it around more.

When my 8-year-old gets back from visiting grandma, I my have her pull the trialer around for 15 minutes or so (she loves that). I think the issue is that I haven't really moved the wheel around enough since I put the slime in. If driving around still doesn't work, I'll put another bottle in.

If you have a sidewall leak slime will do little to nothing since it is heavier than air and will just stay at the bottom of the tire.
It works fine, if you are able to tilt the wheel almost horizontal, and turn the wheel to get the slime to cover the sidewalls for a couple minutes. (might have to remove the wheel, depending on how heavy the mower is)

You should tilt it both ways, to cover both sidewalls of the tire too.

Yeehaw!! I'm off in search of the roughest terrain a garden cart has ever traveled. That should slosh the stuff around enough to cover whatever holes I have.
