How much weight can I safely pull with my CK27HST?

The amount you can pull / stop will depend an awefully lot on your surface. I have a kubota B2920 and pull around a 7k boat trailer with it with no issues on hills as well. However I wouldn't go down a hill of any sort with poor traction. If you're on a paved surface the amount goes WAY up, on a good dirt surface its a bit lower, on an offroad trail its way lower. Remember to keep it in 4wd and go slow. For insurance if you have a tongue jack that doesn't have a wheel you can use that in an emergency and set down the tongue, which should stop the trailer if it's just starting to push you....

I agree. ... But tire type is hugely at issue for surface performance. AGs have better traction on good dirt or turf than any tractor tire compound on pavement. Gravel is the threat with AGs. On gravel or sand you want turf or R4 tires. We run R1 and run beside the driveway on hills. ... Also, tongue weight borne by the tractor is a very effective control tool, and often superior to dragging the tongue if the tractor has adequate braking.

Good point! I run turfs, hence my notes about paved or packed dirt surfaces. Probably very different if you have R1's

A cord of green maple is 6000 pounds. I have a l4740 and I can pull a cord in good going with my good trailer. I usually go with 3/4 of a cord or Evan 1/2 cord if haul is less than 1000 feet.

The haul is about 10 miles on class 2 roads (tar and chip).
i am running R4's with the front ones set up backwards.

It is not really how much you can pull but how much you can stop.
