Jim this the truck with missing pistons ?
Look for a bad ground bolt frame or engine mount.
start with new ground cable first.

Lord have mercy, you have me laughing on that one. It sounds just like me some times when I start to do some simple repair and several weeks later some times I am still trying to get around to the original project...

Lord have mercy, you have me laughing on that one. It sounds just like me some times when I start to do some simple repair and several weeks later some times I am still trying to get around to the original project...

Original project was to put an 8' R/R tie on a sheds tin roof that I was worried about the wind taking off. Just could not get high enough even after cribbing up about 18".

OK, time to build the boom pole and get some extra height. Simple design, should be a quick build, have all the material on hand. Simple is not always quick or simple. 2 Days and boom is done. Found a weak spot in the design, small change and its good to go.

That is when the tire problem started. It seemed to be a slow leak. Not quite slow enough as I had about 15 minuets working time. Then the real "Fun" began.

Ken,
Did the battery cables 7 such when I put the new battery in last spring.
Just that darn bulb that I didn't realize was on. Not going out after dark, didn't see it burning.

Boom Pole pictures later.

Going to pick up new tractor last November. Pulled trailer out of field, and noticed left rear trailer tire flat. Pulled out air hose and aired tire up. Hmmmm, tire flat again. Well, tire I many years old, needs replacing. Took to favorite tire guy and he checked it out. Well no new rubber. reason tire going flat almost as fast as I was filling it, the rim had corroded thru on the back side. Darn. I want to get my tractor. Called trailer manufacturer near me and yes, they had what I wanted. Drove over and bought it and went over to tractor dealer, got tractor. So, New tractor, new trailer. what a combo. My Kioti is in avatar....now. have to go load it on trailer and drive over to son's and do some loader work for him....I thought retirement meant some time to myself..I Seem to be busier than ever. Maybe I should get a job again just so I have time to do things....:D

The fun never stops - Just goes on & on.

Ran out of propane yesterday. Lets load the tank and get it filed.
Right front tire on truck looks low. Sure enough down to 10 pounds.
Fire up compressor. While waiting for air check tractor tire. Well its now down to 20 pounds. Soon the compressor has 40 pounds and building.
Air up tractor tire, must be a slow leak, took it 4 days to go down.
Air up truck tire, know its a slow leak. Put in about 45 pounds.
Compressor going to shut off soon, its up to 100 pounds, but going up very slow.
Its making lots of air. OH wait a minute, the end has blown off the end of the air hose.
Load propane tank and get filled .

Enough for 1 day - Have a beer & relax. :D:thumbsup:

Get on those gigantic magnets and delete the "nail patch".

Got 1 of those. Bright red, 2 foot handle & about 4" in diameter. I know exactly where I put it. In my mind I can see it sitting there.
Small problem, It ain't there.
