TC-30. 45 hours. How obvious/visible is water in the diesel fuel filter bowl? I am at 45 hours and am starting the 50 hour maintenance program . So I did the fuel filter first. I did not notice any water in the bowl. What should I have been looking for? Is it obvious? Or only if there is quite a bit?
Thanks.
BTW I use 5 gallon cans. I think I may find a better way. At least a pre tank filter.

Water is quite obvious if you slowly pour out the contents of the filter bowl after removal. Around here, today, it would be the portion frozen solid at the bottom of the bowl.:D If you are not seeing a bunch of water & other contaminants in the filter bowl, your fuel source and jug hygene are probably OK.

Water is heavier than fuel. So you'll find it at the bottom. Take your fuel bowl and dump it into a clear glass, and shake it. The water will spin around the bottom and look like fish eggs.

Thread closed because it's a duplicate of this one.
