Twice a season is a routine basis, but yeah, this board is just chock full of failures on the deck suspension pivot, idler arm and drive spline. Maybe I could lube the u-joints without dropping the deck if I can borrow that 60,000 psi grease gun.

Yup, I'm sure you're perfect and have never made a typo. You going to tell me that a grease gun doesn't produce 6000 psi of pressure??? Oh, wait, I'm positive you're not perfect because you're the only one on this thread who fails to properly grease their equipment. I suppose you just have more money than you have time and it isn't worth greasing.

I think you need to assess what you are greasing. Blade spindles have a seal as do u-joints and they require very little but often. 10hrs works here. Anything like the splines on the pto shaft cannot be over greased. I would grease them as often as is convenient. Same with all other points where grease can squeeze out and not stretch a seal.

I've been known to do paint touch up once in while, too. All the attention is focused on finding wear, cracks, bearings, low fluids and problem hoses, before they become disaster areas.
