Great advice - i really appreciate the safety tips! I will freely admit (as you all have discerned) I don't have a ton of experience. The info you give me is really helpful - now even if I'm not sure how to go about setting up the right ballast I know to ask about it before I take any chances. Thanks!!
I didn't find a Yanmar dealer around - or, the ones listed on the Yanmar site don't seem to actually carry them. Similarly I don't see any Kioti dealers anywhere nearby by their dealer search page. Too bad, but fewer options will make my choice a bit easier!
I will definitely check out the LS ones in Tipton - they sound worthwhile.
I like the idea of more HP (well, who wouldn't!) but at the same time want to keep it small enough to be able to maneuver the fence lines and around the pond. You folks have really been helpful in guiding me to figuring out which of the gazillion choices are likely to fit my needs and keep me safe - thanks a ton!!
